Sylvan Learning Programmes

Beginning Reading -
This programme is designed to help children entering Kindergarten, Grade 1, or older students who need to reinforce basic reading skills. Handwriting skills are also reinforced, as well as forming basic sentence structure.

Academic Reading -
Designed to help students of all ages improve their reading speed and comprehension. This programme prepares students for the increased workload in secondary school and helps students cover more coursework in less time, allowing them to achieve greater academic success.

Academic Writing -
This programme is designed to teach students to organise thoughts effectively and communicate them in writing. It also teaches students how to confidently tackle even the toughest assignments and master the ability to write a variety of documents, from paragraphs to short essays. Students learn the skills necessary to excel on the writing portion of school exams and standardised assignments.

Math Essentials -
Designed to target specific skills that need reinforcement, the Math Essentials programme is appropriate for the foundation or extension of specific math skills. For older students, critical thinking skills such as problem-solving, estimation, and logic, take students beyond the basics of mathematical computation. For younger students, this programme provides them with specific instruction on the basic computation skills, problem-solving, measurement, graphing, equations, and numeration. Both older and younger students master a new skill before advancing to the next level, ensuring the retention of information long after it is learned

We have experience with every type of test preparation class imaginable. Whether you are looking to prepare your child for a school entrance exam or IGCSE/A-Level/IB Exam/SAT/ISEE... We do it all!
