DEACON is magic. DEACON is metropolitan. DEACON is romantic.

design concept :
garments are 2D. you will find side seams on all of your jackets and your dresses - they are there to cut your body in half, the front and the back. on the other hand, a bag is truly 3 dimensional, a sculpture if you will. a different view is discovered on all 360 angles. that is the approach that inspires me. some might call it architectural; i just really focus on how the bag is build from the ground up. material is first; form follows function. following this line of thinking, the interior of the bag will be just as important, if not more, as the outside.

you, the Deaconettes :
after a few years of shopping, you are beginning to form your very own taste and willing to go against the grain. there is little interest in Vuitton or Hermes, for those are your moms’ and aunties’.

you are a working 27 year-old (no matter if she’s at 17 or at 77) at the intersection of being a girl and being a woman; doesn't want to let go of your silliness yet you are thinking about building a family. you are proud of your independent yet you are just a little bit lonely, a little bit lost.
