Junior Science Institute (JSI) was introduced by the Faculty in 2009. It offers science-rich experiences to scientifically-inclined senior secondary school students. We have designed a series of hands-on learning programmes offering students exposure to different science disciplines. Through a variety of inspiring workshops, laboratory exercises, field trips, public lectures and other interactive activities, par ticipants are able to embark on a journey of science exploration.

For 2014-15, 27 JSI workshops in the areas of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics were offered through the year. Over 600 local and international secondary school students in F.4 to F.6 and Years 10 to 13, respectively, completed the programme successfully. Students had an opportunity to broaden their horizon in various science disciplines.
